7th Grade Social Studies Classes Simulate Trading On the Silk Road
Mr. Flowers' Social Studies classes participated in a game that mimics a caravan along the Silk Road. Student bought and sold resources at marketplaces so they could eventually sell them back in China or the Ottoman Empire. Students also role played the exchange of ideas and religions of that time period.

What do you get when you mix Jello, candies and
7th grade science students?
Ms. Smith's students create 3-D cell models made with Jello, in a lab that allows them to visualize the components of animal cells. The students used candy to represent cell organelles such as the nucleus, cytoplasm, ribosomes, vacuoles, endoplasmic reticulum, and mitochondria.
