For over two decades, Piney Grove Middle School (PGMS) has served all sixth to eighth grade public school students residing in the beautiful foothills of Northern Stokes County. We are less than 10 miles north of Hanging Rock State Park and its nearly 10,000 acres of protected forests featuring 1,700- to 2,579-foot peaks, all within North Carolina’s most easterly Sauratown Mountain range. This location, pastoral setting, and our spacious grounds provide students and staff with a serene environment that is uniquely complementary to both learning and teaching in the new millennium.
